GENOA is situated on Italy’s North West coast  and is its sixth largest city. It is a real fusion of cultures and if you like architecture, you’ll love it!

TOP TIP - One of the best ways to get a taste of Genoa is to hop on the trolley train. It will take you on a commentated tour of interesting and historical features of the city including the birthplace of Christopher Columbus.

TOP TIP - There is  also a pirate ship on the sea front which is great fun, a submarine, a museum an aquarium and a fabulous marina. Not to mention some great little places to sit and have a coffee or something stronger. Check out the photo gallery!

TOP TIP - There is a large contingent of North African street sellers along the sea front as you turn right out the the port. If you choose to run the gauntlet, try not to make eye contact. You have been warned!
